Thank you for choosing to fish with River Talk Guiding New Zealand (River Talk NZ Ltd). Please note Terms and Conditions, and Cancellation policy below.


To reserve your trip with River Talk NZ Ltd, please make an enquiry from our reservation page https://rivertalkguiding.co.nz/contact-us/

Once the date(s) and trip conditions have been agreed on, a deposit needs to be made before the booking date is secured.
Once the booking is secured, the date(s) is locked in. However, should you wish to change the trip dates there will be no charge to the client, providing the alternative date is still available.


When reserving a trip with River Talk NZ the client will be required to pay 50% of the trip cost (excludes license fees) as a deposit. The remaining balance will be required to be paid at a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the trip departure. Payment can be made via debit/credit card using the details on our payment page https://rivertalkguiding.co.nz/payments/

We also accept payment via bank transfer, feel free to contact us for transfer details.


River Talk NZ Ltd will not be held for any liability during and after the trip, unless carelessness or negligence in duty of care is proven otherwise.

Health and Safety

During any River Talk NZ Ltd trip, clients and operator’s safety is at upmost importance. We operate under strict regulations and guidance from Work Safe New Zealand, For more information please see https://www.worksafe.govt.nz/
All River Talk NZ Ltd trips will be accompanied by appropriate safety, communication, and first aid equipment.
River Talk NZ Ltd operation/safety plans are audited by independent and accredited Health and Safety auditors, documents can be provided after trip booking is confirmed and full payment is made.
In the case of the client(s) not following a operator’s instruction, or are seen to be compromising both client(s) and operator’s safety, the operator (or subcontracting guides) withhold the right to stop the operation or to shorten the trip and no refund will be given under the circumstances.
If you have any concerns regarding your trip, please contact River Talk NZ Ltd prior to the trip departure.


All trip contents, instruction manual and photo/video taken during the operation and social hours of the trips are property of River Talk NZ Ltd. The contents can be shared with client(s) at request. Or should the client(s) wish contents not to be publicized, River Talk NZ Ltd will take client’s privacy seriously.

Cancellation policy
River Talk Guiding New Zealand trip will only be cancelled, in the unforeseen circumstances that it will impose difficulty or danger to the trip operation.
River Talk Guiding New Zealand holds consent to (or not to) authorize the trip cancellation.

Please note the cancellation charges below:
25% of the trip cost (excludes licence fees) will be charged for any cancellation within last 6 month of the trip departure.
50% of the trip cost (excludes licence fees) will be charged for any cancellation within last 3 month of the trip departure
100% of the trip cost (excludes licence fees) will be charged for any cancellation within last 1 months of the trip departure.

River Talk NZ Ltd takes any cancellation made by act of god or unforeseeable circumstances caused by external influence carefully, and we will discuss the cancellation charges with clients/agents at the time of cancellation.


River Talk NZ Ltd operation is covered under an insurance policy for any property damage made, by negligence, carelessness or by the unforeseen circumstances。

River Talk NZ Ltd strongly advises client(s) to have Travel/ health/ content insurance, in the case of trip cancelation or property damages made by clients or influence of third party.
